## About

Dan Morrell is a Chicago-based musician, guitarist, songwriter, and DJ. He built a DJ career under the name DJ Smurf, becoming a pioneer of Euro and Progressive music in the Midwest. From 2001 to 2011 his mixes aired across Chicago on the B96 Street Mix. He took first place at the Super DJ Spin-Off in Las Vegas in 2001 and served as the Chicago Bears' exclusive DJ. In 2007 he launched the DJ + live guitar concept at B96 Summer Bash in front of 50K fans.
